Funeral services for Miss Marie Bentz, 48, 803 E. Norfolk Ave., who died Tuesday, were conducted Friday afternoon at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. A.G. Deke, pastor. Music was furnished by Mrs. Cameron Isascson, vocalist, and Mrs. Victor Wagner, organist. Burial was in the New Lutheran Cemetery, with the following as pallbearers: Harold Thanel, Joe Kucera, William Thompson, E.J. Dagendorfer, Chet Hammerlun and Arnold Zach. Miss Bentz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bentz, was born March 8, 1909, at Scribner. She was 3 when the family moved to Spencer. The family came to Norfolk in 1918. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church here March 29, 1931. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lizzie Bentz of Nrofolk; four sisters, Mrs. William McGinty, Mrs. Gerald DeVore and Mrs. Richard Daniel, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Viola Newman of Lincoln, and three brothers, Robert and Earl of Norfolk, and John of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and one sister.
