REGULAR RANGER Pvt. Co A SPECIAL RANGER Pinkney F. Dyches was born July 24, 1884 in Granger, Williamson County, Texas to William Dyches and Tabitha "Tabbie" Allen. He stood 5ft. 6in. tall, had dark eyes, dark hair and a dark complexion. He married Susan Katherine Douglas Watson LeSueur on June 21, 1930 in Lovington, Lea County, New Mexico. He was divorced and remarried but I don't know to whom. There seemed to be no children. Pinkney was a stockman in Marfa, Presidio County, Texas. Prior to 1919 he had been a deputy constable in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas for 2 years and city marshall in Frontenac, Kansas. Pinkney enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a REGULAR RANGER from December 15, 1919 thru January 31, 1928, pvt. Co. A. He resigned to become a peace officer in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas. He again enlisted in the Rangers as a SPECIAL RANGER from November 1928 thru December 31,1928. He was discharged. Pinkney F. Dyches died September 10, 1955, in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas and was buried in the Fairmount Cemetery.
