Wingate, Nellene "Missy" Funeral Services for Nellene "Missy" Wingate, 62, of DeRidder, La., will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La., with Reverend George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in DeRidder. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Wingate passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at her residence in DeRidder, La. A native of Cravens, La., Mrs. Wingate was a civil service employee with the U.S. government. She worked at Fort Polk, and at the time of her retirement she was at the Norfolk Naval Station at Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Wingate is survived by her son, Shawn Wingate and his wife Samantha of DeRidder; three grandsons, Olan Wingate, Dillen Wingate and Chase Wingate, all of DeRidder; one great granddaughter, Riley Wingate; one brother, Glen Willis and his wife Jennice of DeRidder and one sister, Pearl Slaydon and husband Chester, of DeRidder.
