Bio
Benjamin is the son of Benjamin Franklin Barney of Illinois and Priscilla Ann Shepherd of Indiana. Benjamin came to Utah with the Henry Bryant Manning Jolley Company in 1852. Priscilla traveled to Utah with an Unknown Company in 1852. They met and were married in President Brigham Young's office on 8 April 1856. They made their home in Spanish Fork where their 2nd child was born. A son, Benjamin Franklin Barney, Jr. But sadly little Benjamin was born and passed away the same day. He is laid to rest in the Pioneer Heritage Cemetery in Spanish Fork.
