Bio

Winifred died of pneumonia on the day of her mother's funeral. She was placed in the arms of her mother in the same casket Age 9 years, 7 months, and 19 days. [If her age is correct, then her birth would have been March 4, 1919.] Predeceased by her mother, Alta. Survived by her father; and four siblings. ---------------------- From the Pacific Union Recorder: HANSEN - Alta E. Reavis was born in Battle Creek, Mich., Dec 19, 1885. She taught church school in Wisconsin and North Carolina. In 1911 she married Joseph E. Hansen, and together they worked in the North Carolina Conference, then entered the self-supporting school work in Georgia. Two years ago they came to California because of poor health. Mrs. Hansen died at Saint Helena after a short illness and, with her nine year old daughter, who died three days later, was laid away to await the Life-give's call. The devoted husband and four children are left to mourn. ----------------------
