Alta was buried with her daughter, Winifred, who died three days after, both of pneumonia, as the family could not afford two caskets. From the Pacific Union Recorder: HANSEN - Alta E. Reavis was born in Battle Creek, Mich., Dec 19, 1885. She taught church school in Wisconsin and North Carolina. In 1911 she married Joseph E. Hansen, and together they worked in the North Carolina Conference, then entered the self -supporting school work in Georgia. Two years ago they came to California because of poor health. Mrs. Hansen died at Saint Helena after a short illness and, with her nine year old daughter, who died three days later, was laid away to await the Life-give's call. The devoted husband and four children are left to mourn. ----- Alta is survived by her husband, Joseph; their five children: Doris, Thelma, Elton, Winifred and Ruth; and the following siblings: Miss Mabel Reavis, Sanitarium, James D. Reavis, Kentucky; F.G. Reavis, Williamson, Mich; Mrs. Roy Dumbauld, Elgin, IL, Mrs. Mary Reavis, Snynder San Francisco; and D.O. Reavis, near St. Helena Sanitarium. -----
