They lived in Tennessee and had 5 children before moving to Hopkins County, Texas and raised their family. Their children were Serina (Kate) Elizabeth Cotton, Georgia Ann Anderson, B. Floyd Milton, Ona Blanche Shell, Margaret (Maggie) Toles, James Franklin Milton, Ross Cleveland Milton, Minnie Milton, Hubert T. Milton, John David Milton. Tennie was the daughter of David and Serena Ross. Her siblings were Martha Jane Ross Young, Nancy Ross Hansell, Mary A. Ross Bradshaw, Susan Amanda Ross Matheny, Margaret Emaline Ross Pitts, William Franklin Ross, John J. Ross, and Serena F. Ross.
