Suggested edit: Surname was originally Šonka. John's Birth record says he was born 16 Apr 1856 and was baptized on the 17th in Bechynská Smolec 24. Son of Matej Šonka and Maria Hajný. Here is the proof for this information. He's the 5th one on the record. Interesting note.
