Bio
Son of David Franklin Burleson (1755-1832) and Ursula Weatherford Burleson (1758-1835), he was born in NC but later moved to Tennessee where he married his first wife Penelope Pope in 1810. After her death he was married for a second time to Sarah Adelia "Delia" McGuire Burleson (1814-1860) who was born in Alabama, where Hill had moved his family. One of his sons was Thomas Joseph Burleson (1837-1897).
