Bio
Frances "Fanny" Burleson was born on May 1824 in Marion County, AL to Hilkiah R. Burleson (1786-1856) and Penelope "Penny" Pope (1788-1841). In 1840, at age 16, Fanny marries Emeriah M. Self (1815-1865) and together, they have a total of 13 children with seven surviving into adulthood. Per 1900 US Census, Fanny is living with her son, Joseph Self in Erath County, TX. At age 79, she dies in 1903.
