Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, June 28, 1973, Page 8, Column 5 Obituary of Mary Ellersick Mary Fajmon Ellersick, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Kolousek Fajmon, was born in Northeast Custer County Sept. 21, 1899. She grew up in Corner Precinct of Custer County where she attended school. On August 2, 1922, she was united in marriage to James H. Skolil. To this union two daughters were born, Evelyn and Norma. After one year living near Ord, Mary and James moved to the Comstock Community where they farmed until moving to town in 1951. Mr. Skolil passed away a short time later. On July 18, 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Charles Ellersick at North Platte. They made their home in Comstock until ill health made it necessary for her to take up residence at the Nursing Home in Sargent, December 7, 1971. Mary Ellersick departed this life after a lingering illness, June 17, 1973, at the Sargent Nursing Home at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 23 days. She leaves to hold sacred her memory, her husband Charlie of Burwell; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Kriss of Comstock, and Mrs. Norma Hunt of Clinton, Wis.; two step-children whom she raised, Bill Skolil of Sargent and Mrs. Rose Kocourek of Omaha, six sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Sibal of Ogallala; Mrs. Rose Teska of Rosemond, Calif., Mrs. Anna Smolik and Mrs. Lillian Walford both of Burwell, Mrs. Emma Bilka of Ord, and Mrs. Frances Libruska of Mitchell; two brothers, Charles Fajmon of Burwell and Frank Fajmon of Sargent; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services for Mrs. Ellersick were held last Wednesday at the Comstock United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Valley county cemetery, Ord.
