MONTICELLO - Lillie Catherine Tucker Carter, 77, of Monticello, died August 28, 1994, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Arkansas. Born November 1, 1916, in Drew County, she was a daughter of the late T.J. Tucker and Lillie Blanche Strickland Tucker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Hughes. Survivors include her husband, Vance Carter of Monticello; two daughters, Bettie Hoover of Wood lawn and Kay Carter of Monticello; a sister, Willie J. McGough of Monticello; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello with the Rev. Charlie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Drew County.
