Bio

MONTICELLO - U L Tucker, 76 of Monticello, died Saturday at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home here. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs Martha Hoppers Tucker of Monticello; two sons, David Tucker of Monticello and Charles Tucker of Dalton, Georgia; six daughters , Mrs Hazel Medders of Eden, Texas, Mrs Lynette Butts of Texarkana, Mrs Mamie Perrine and Mrs Willie Mae Barnes both of Houston, Mrs Donna Jean Grene of Baton Rouge and Mrs Peggy Puckett of Pensacola, Florida; and two sisters, Mrs Lillie Carter and Mrs Willie McGough, both of Monticello. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church here by Reverend R V White. Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery by Stephenson Funeral Home of Monticello.
