Juanell Sons Strickland, 63, of Wichita Falls, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Wichita Falls. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Brett Coe. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 15, 1944, in Whitesboro, Texas, to George David and Lola (Bradford) Sons. She married O.M. "Butch" Strickland June 4, 1961, in Enid, Okla. Mrs. Strickland has lived in Wichita Falls for most of her life, was a distributor for the Dallas Morning News for 28 years, and Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, George David and Lola Sons; and brother, David Sons. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, O.M. Strickland of Wichita Falls; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Stacey Strickland of Wichita Falls, Michael Strickland of Dallas, Kenneth Strickland of Wichita Falls; sister, Sharon of Temple, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, James and Janice Sons of Wichita Falls, three grandchildren, Sarah Johnson, James Strickland, and Emily Strickland; step-grandchildren, Darrell Stewart, Kathleen Stewart, Ashley Stewart; and nieces and nephews, Rusty Sons, Jamie Sons, Jordan Sons, and Justin Sons.
