Bio

Maria (Mary) was the daughter of Rheinhold and Maria Sophia Elisabeth Marwitz Mueller. Marie was the sister to August, Willie, Friedrich and Alvina Dossman Hodde. On November 24, 1903 Maria married Gustav Julius Wendland in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Richland. Their children were Alvina Kretzschmar, Gus, Walter, Delvin, Sidonie, Willie and Arthur. Maria was bitten on her thigh by a rattlesnake when she was past middle age and survived.
