Y-DNA evidence now shows that the first 2 Abraham Shockey's were placed under the wrong parents early on in genealogical research. This is the Abraham who should be included as the son of Johann Christoffel Schacke; the other was the son of Valentine. Thus this Abraham was the uncle of the other. Died during the Revolutionary War. He served in the Third Regiment, Maryland Line, having enlisted on 1 Aug 1780. He died leaving a widow and three children.
