Children of Josh Brock and Mildred Tankersley Brock: Nellie Brock 1882-1958 James Samuel Brock 1885-1928 Mellie Ann (Pud) Brock 1888-1961 Tarlton Joshua ( Brock 1891-1965 Henry Charles Brock 1894-1975 Joe A Brock 1900-1977 Maudie Mildred Brock 1901-1927 She was married once before to a man named Samuel Tredwell. They were married in 1870. And had three kids: Drusilla, Samuel and John. I have been told that Samuel had children before he married Mildred and that she kept his children after his death. Mildred's father, Harmon Tankersley: Harmon was a Union soldier who contacted measles and died of complications while serving during the Civil War. As a result, his wife, Julia Ann Sims Tankursley went to TX with the children and members of her family. Samuel, the eldest boy drove the team of oxen.
