MARIE CALHOUN - VICTORIA August 24, 2006 VICTORIA - Marie Vinklarek Waller Calhoun, 90, of Victoria, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006. She was born July 29, 1916, in Dilworth, to the late J.C. and Betty Palitza Vinklarek. She was a retired Fuller Brush salesperson and member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, Legion of Mary, and Victoria County Czech Heritage Society. Survivors: daughters, Betty Kirby of Blessing, Simone Tipton of Victoria, and Celestine Merritt of Houston; sons, James P. Waller of Victoria and Dennis Waller of Richland, Wash.; sisters, Tillie Evan of Cheapside, Lillie Garvel of McDade, and Anna Laura Burger of Gonzales; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: first husband, James P. Waller; second husband, Truman Calhoun; and son, Timothy Waller. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, the Rev. David Berger officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
