GONZALES - Tillie Ann Evan, 94, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on May 5, 2014 at Gonzales Memorial Hospital in Gonzales, Texas. Tillie Ann Evan was born in Dilworth, Texas on July 12, 1919. She was the daughter of Jim Charles and Betty (Palitza) Vinklarek. She married Charles Louis Evan on October 28, 1941 in St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. Tillie lived in the country most of her life and enjoyed her cattle until her age and health forced her to move to town. Tillie is survived by her daughter, Frances and her husband Ben Monette of Victoria, Texas, sister; Anna Laura Burger of Gonzales, Texas, one grandchild; Gregory Monette of Victoria, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim Charles and Betty (Palitza) Vinklarek, her husband; Charles Louis Evan, son; Eugene Charles Evan, sisters; Marie Calhoun, Lillie Garvel. Interment will follow at the St. James Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. Buffington Funeral Home, 830-672-3322.
