John A. Bradley Beloved husband of Adelia Bradley 1848-86. John passed away in 1909 at the age of 63. BRADLEY, John A. 1846-1909 Englewood Cemetery (B), Clinton, Henry Co, MO Sedalia Democrat, Sedalia MO, Monday, Oct 18 1909 - John A. Bradley, for fifteen years a resident of this city, died from a complication of diseases at his home, 1108 East Fifth street, at 2:25 o'clock Sunday afternoon, following a four years' illness. Mr. Bradley was born in Johnson county. He spent a large portion of his life in Henry county, at Clinton, where he was engaged in the shoe business. Fifteen years ago he came to Sedalia, and for a period of four years was associated with the William Courtney Shoe company, retiring from work on account of a stroke of paralysis, which disabled him permanently. Two subsequent strokes followed during the past four years. Last Thursday, he became critically ill, and since that day little hope had been entertained for his recovery. Mr. Bradley was 63 years of age and leaves three sons, as follows: Fred, connected with the Postal Telegraph company in Chicago; Glen, a telegrapher of Galveston, Texas, and Howard, a traveling hardware salesman out of Los Angeles, Calif. None of the sons will be able to attend the funeral. Mr. Bradley also leaves a sister, Mrs. Settles, of Clinton, and two brothers, Henry of Spokane, Wash., and Robert, of Clinton. Deceased was a member of Fidelity council No. 53, K. & L. of S., and had been a member of the Christian church since his youth, at the time of death being an elder in the East Broadway Christian church. Funeral services were conducted at the family residence this afternoon. The remains will be taken to Clinton tomorrow morning to be interred in Englewood cemetery.
