Bio

Mrs. Theodosia Stevenson Passed Away Last Night. Mrs. Theodosia J. Stevenson, wife of A. N. Stevenson, died of pneumonia at her home, 319 West Tenth street, at 10:05 o'clock last night, aged 68 years. Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. J. M. Rudy officiating, and the interment being in the city cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: W. W. Herold, George Pemberton, W. M. Alspaugh, Charles Heynen, Robert Van Hook, and Charles Sherman. Mrs. Stevenson was born in Howard county, Mo. on December 12, 1838. Her girlhood days were spent at Virden, Ill. After several years she removed to Clinton, Mo., where on September 14, 1873, she was married to her surviving husband. Of the union the following sons were born: Courtney, Earl and Dee Stevenson. In addition she leaves a sister, Mrs. H. L. Settle, residing at Windsor, and three brothers as follows: John A. Bradley of the Couney shoe store; Robert Bradley, of St. Louis, and Henry Bradley, of Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Stevenson was the daughter of the late James Bradley, one of the most prominent stockmen and merchants of Central Missouri. At the age of 12 years she affiliated with the Christian church, and since that time had adhered to the teachings of that denomination, endearing herself to every acquaintance, and in her death the church loses one of its very best members, while in her family has a vacancy that can not be filled. --The Sedalia Democrat (Sedalia, Missouri), 3 Jan 1907, Thu, p. 1 (Submitted by Prairie Yesteryear)
