Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Kutra who died on Tuesday, February 23rd, were held today, Thursday, February 25th, at 9 a.m. from the family residence, followed by services at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Frydek. Burial was in the Frydek Catholic Cemetery, with Rev. Lad Klimicek, Rev. A.W. Nesvadba of Wallis, and Rev. Ben Holub of Sealy officiating. Rosary was recited at the residence Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Pall bearers were grandsons of the deceased, Bennie Hosak, Joe Novosad, Jerry Novosad, Willie Kutra, and Frankie Vancik, and Paul Gavranovic. Mrs. Kutra was born in Europe on September 14, 1878, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Machala) Vesely, and came to this country at a young age. In 1896 she was married to John Kutra in Fayetteville, where she had been reared. She and her late husband were engaged in farming, having retired a good many years ago. Mrs. Kutra was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Frydek and the KJZT lodge. She had been a resident of the Frydek community for 58 years, making her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hosak, and family the past four years. She died Tuesday morning following a two months illness, at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 9 days. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hosak, Mrs. Rosie Novosad, and Mrs. Albina Vancik, all of Frydek, and Mrs. Louise Novosad of Sealy; two sons, Joe of Sealy and Willie of Frydek; 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
