Transcribed and submitted by Franklin Shemek. Nance County Journal - July 6, 1967 OTTO DITTMER DIES Otto Dittmer, 77, of Clarks died June 21 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln. He was born September 1, 1889, at Minden, Iowa. After the death of his mother at 1898, he moved with his family to a farm near Clarks. On June 4, 1919, he married Mary Hansen at Fullerton. They made their home on the farm near Clarks until 1965 when they moved into Clarks. Survivors include his wife; two sons and four daughters, Ted Dittmer and Mrs. Dennis (Dixie) Jasper of Stromsburg, Jack Dittmer and Mrs. Arnold (Betty) Carlson of Clarks, Mrs. Rex (Lillie) Graham of Silver Creek, and Mrs. Wesley (Ruth) Jones of Osceola; five sisters, including Mrs. Dora Mustard of Clarks and Mrs. Annie Merrit of Central City; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son; a grandson; seven brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral and burial sevices were held June 24 in Clarks.
