Bio

John F Dittmer was born March 18, 1888 and was a twin to sister, Wilhelmina. Their parents were Max Henry and Margartha Dittmer. They lived in the Minden, Iowa area with their 6 children until Henry’s wife died in 1898 and he moved to a farm near Clarks, Nebraska. Max Henry remarried to Maggie Schariff Juhl who was a widow with 6 children also. The twin sister, Wilhelmina returned to Iowa and eventually married Gus Mandelkow from Avoca, Iowa in 1913 where she lived her remaining life. So John had connections to Nebraska and Iowa.
