Bio
Daughter of George & Cathrina BRAUN (BROWN) KNODE, she was christened on June 8th 1827 at Pleasent Hills in Maryland. She married our GG-Grandfather Lewis Alexander Bottler GRIFFITH on May 15th 1849 in Pleasent Valley, Washington County, Maryland. She was the mother of eleven children: 1)Amanda Catherine Emily; 2)Catherine Emily (*both died in infancy); 3)George Archibald; 4)Alexander Cornelius; 5)Edward (died in infancy); 6)Willingsford; 7)Sarah Cordella; 8)Blanche Elizabeth; 9)Abraham Lincoln; 10)Kearney Botteler; 11)Amelia Corlia. (* A.L. & A.C. married their distant cousins, Ora Jane & Albert A. BEALS) Our family direct link is through Abraham Lincoln & Ora Jane BEALS GRIFFITH, our G-Grandparents, through their eldest daughter Merle Evelynne "Meg" GRIFFITH and her husband, Marion francis LOGAN.
