Wife of Clifford Ohr. OBIT: Childress – Services for former Childress resident, Bertha Ohr, 74, of Abilene were held July 19 in Elliott=Hamil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Diebel of the First Christian Church in Abilene officiating. Graveside services were held later that day at the Truscott Cemetery in Knox County. Mrs. Ohr died July 16 in Hendrick Medical Center at Abilene. She was born June 13, 1909 in Childress. She married Clifford Ohr November 7, 1929 in Hollis, Okla. Mrs. Ohr had been a resident of Abilene since 1958. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Martha Haynie of Graham; a son, Clifford Jr. of Houston' a sister, Zilpha Scott of Fort Worth; four brothers, Roy Greer of El Paso, Joe, Homer and James Greer, all of Chlldress; and three grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. Published August 7, 1983 The Childress Index.
