Gracie Iola Johnson married Omer "Dick" Sanford Smith, Jr. Gracie Iola (Johnson) Smith, age 88, from Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly from Paris, Arkansas, died Monday, 10 JAN 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a Freewill Baptist and the widow of Omer Sanford Smith, Jr. Funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 12 JAN 2000, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, Arkansas, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris. She is survived by two daughters, Genelda Smith Dickerson and Lacretia Smith Harris, both from Sherwood, Arkansas; two sons, Buddy Smith and James Earl Smith, both from Van Buren, Arkansas; one sister, Floy Jones, from Trumann, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Stacy Dickerson, Jay Dickerson, Stephen Smith, Benjamin Harris, Buren Johnson, Jr. and Jerry D. Horne.
