Bio

Mrs. Floy Maybelle Jones, 103, of Lake City died Tuesday evening, Sept. 19, 2006, in the family residence. Mrs. Jones was born at Prairie Creek and had lived in Lake City for the past eight years and was formerly of Trumann. She was a homemaker and a member of Alsup Pentecostal Church near Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Jones; one son, Vernon Jones; two daughters, Velta Toddy and Lucretia Fowler; one grandson, Larry Jones; and one great-great-grandson, Jarrod McClung. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Timms of Lake City; a son, Everett Jones of Trumann; 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at Trumann. Graveside services were in Graves Cemetery at Delaware with Thompson Funeral Home in charge. Active pallbearers were grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren. www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
