James Andrew Hamilton, 55, died at the Roosevelt Hospital Wednesday, Feb. 17th, at 9 a.m. following a heart attack. He was born April 22, 1898, at Nine Mile, near Price, a son of James Alma and Susan Van Wagoner Hamilton. His parents moved to Midview during his childhood and it was there he received his early education. The family moved to Myton in 1922. He married Emma Warr in Bennett, Uintah county, Jan. 19, 1928 and they made their home here and on a ranch near Myton, where he was employed as a government trapper. In 1947 they returned to Myton as Mr. Hamilton was incapacitated by arthritis and he became self-empoyed as a leather craftsman. His sunny disposition made him beloved by all who met him and the children all called him "Uncle Jim." Survivors are his widow, two brothers, Steve and Richard Hamilton, all of Myton; three (incomplete) Uintah Basin Standard (UT) February 25, 1954 Parents: James Alma Hamilton (born in Alpine UT) and Susan Vanwagoner (born in Clarkston, Kentucky) Married Ora Emma Warr.
