Dan G. Edwards, 79, of Danville, AR, passed away on August 30, 1999 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born on March 16, 1920 in Merna, NE. Dan was a WWII Army Veteran and a cattle farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edwards and Blanche Lang-Edwards; a brother, Dick Edwards; and a sister, Georgia Faye Beck. Dan is survived by his wife, Lavele Schmidt-Edwards; three sons: Dan Edwards, Jr. of North Little Rock, AR, Tom Edwards of Springdale, AR, and Bill Edwards of Prairie Grove, AR; one daughter, Kathy Young of Conway, AR; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Edwards of Ogallala, NB and Gerald Edwards of Rialto, CA; and two sisters, Genevieve Rourke of Boise, ID and Maxine Dietrich of Meridian, ID. The funeral services will be held in the Cornwell Chapel in Danville, AR with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. The internment services will be held at Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville, AR. Pallbearers were Christian Edwards, Russell Edwards, Dustin Edwards, Danny Hipps, Chad Hipps, and James Black. Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
