He was the son of W. Horace and Lena Nelson Holloway. His parents are buried in Athens Cemetery in Athens, TX. Raymond was a tool pusher in the oil field drilling industry. He shares a stone with his wife, Mary Hurbough Holloway. He was residing in Palestine at the time of his death near Mexia.
