Dennis James Zhanel, 46, passed away on February 22, 2006. He was born on April 4, 1959 in Ennis to Leslie and Wilma Prachyl Zhanel. Dennis worked as a machine operator, carpenter and on the family farm for several years. He loved hunting, camping and fishing. Dennis was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the KJT. He is survived by his parents, Leslie & Wilma Zhanel, brothers and sisters, Steve Zhanel and his wife Barbara, Doris Luck and her husband Eddie, Mark Zhanel, and Gene Zhanel and his wife Tammy; nieces and nephews, Cassie Parma, David Zhanel, Melony Rebuck, Brian Zhanel, Stacey Bohanon, Laurie Roznovsky, Mark Zhanel, Jr., John Zhanel, Jennifer Zhanel, Brad Zhanel, and Brittani Zhanel, all of Ennis; five great nieces and nephews, Christopher, Ava, Travis, Kaitlyn, and Emma. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Zhanel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at St. John Catholic Church, with Father Edison Vela officiating. Interment will follow at. St. Joseph Cemetery.
