Bio

A. J. Tippit's residence at time of death was Alpine, Texas, but he died in a hospital in Temple, Texas. "Apple Jack" became his nickname because his mother called him "Jack". "Apple" was later added because he raised and sold apples from his orchard at his Mitre Peak ranch near Alpine, Texas.
