An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Saturday, December 29, 2001: Norma Lee Remington of Gatesville died Dec. 20 at a local hospital. She was 82. Graveside services were held Saturday at Restland Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Crosby officiating. Mrs. Remington was born Feb. 4, 1919, in the Hubbard community, to the late Wiley and Lily Schrimpher Turner. She was reared and attended school in the Hubbard community. She was a lifetime resident of Coryell County. She married Fred Russell Remington in 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Jerry and William White. Survivors include her daughters, Helen White of Sheppard, Judy Demmy of Houston; sons, James White of Gatesville and John White of Bedias; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
