An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Saturday, May 20, 2000: Dorothy Faye Muegge of Gatesville died May 14 at her residence. She was 71. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Live Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Anthony officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery. Mrs. Muegge was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Oglesby, and graduated from Oglesby High school in 1946. On Oct. 15, 1946, she married Eldon Muegge. They resided in McGregor, moving to Gatesville in 1953. She worked at the Mountain View Unit from 1981 to 1985. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Eldon Muegge; a daughter, Janet Blanchard of Gatesville; two sons, James Muegge and Johnny Muegge, both of Gatesville; three brothers, Robert Guthrie of Gatesville, J.C. Guthrie of Waco and Carneal Guthrie of Temple; and 10 grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Live Oak Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
