An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Vol. 43, No. 5, Friday, September 12, 1947: Andrew H. Huff, 64-year-old Gatesville man, was stricken with a heart attack Tuesday morning near the Plainview school house, and died before reaching medical aid. He was a native of this city, and had made his home here all his life. He was born May 11, 1883, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Huff. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, and was married to Miss Annie Parker June 1, 1902. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leonard Huff of Crawford, Landell Huff of Waco, and Ferguson Huff of Brownwood; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Griffith of Denison; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Jim Miller and Mrs. Rolly Anderson. Funeral services were held at Scott's Funeral Home at 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Doss and Rev. Jasper Chambers. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery, with Pat Shofner, R. M. Phillips, Harold Rohloff, Barney Griffith, Robert Hashins, and Robert Robeck serving as pallbearers.
