Verdell Brumbelow - b. ~1919 Obituary provided by RosalieAnn Rosenberg Herald May 3, 1946 Friends throughout this section were grieved Friday morning when they learned that Mr. D. M. Brumbelow had passed away. He had been ill for about three months and he passed away at his home in Rosenberg. Rev J. Vernon Wheeless assisted by Rev. Roy A Carley conducted the services. Miss Rebecca Parrott san "Sun Rise Tomorrow" and a quartet composed of Rev. Wheeless, Vincent Wheeless, C. C. Garner and Floyd O'Shieles sang one of his favorite hymns "Further ALong". The following served as pallbearers: Tom Anderson, M.E. Parrott, Raymond Ulrich, Dr. Emil Tejml, Joe Catron and Ralph Whittlesey. Mr. Brumbelow was born in Parker County. He was married to Mrs. Estella Kennelly in 1898. To this union seven children were born. Mrs. Estella Brumbelow preceded him in death in October 1921. He was married to Mrs. Effie Harman in 1926 and she preceded him in death in April 1942. On August 15, 1943, he was married to Mrs. Ollie Tormey.
