Berneice Payne MEMPHIS - Berneice Payne, 87, of Lakeview, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church in Memphis with the Rev. Neely Landrum officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne taught school for more than 35 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeview. She married Russell Payne in 1946 at Lakeview. He died in January. Survivors include two daughters, Tommie Newton of Abilene and Judy Fulton of Perryton; two sisters, Wanda Smith of Greenville and Genevia McFadden of Commerce; a brother, James Patterson of Bronson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Lakeview Cemetery Association.
