Waxahachie (TX) Daily Light, Wed., Dec. 13, 1930, p. 1 (extracted from Hargrove/Hargrave and collateral families research records of Ruth Hasten Walsh) Mrs. S. S. Jenkins, eight-two (sic), died this morning at 5:15 o'clock at her home in Boz. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Methodist Church tomorrow at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Rudolph Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Pulaski, Tenn., and moved to Texas sixty-one years ago. She lived in and around the Boz community since that time. She was a member of the Bethal Methodist Church. The remains will lie in state at the Rudolph Funeral Home until time for services. Survivors are two sons, Claud Jenkins of Boz, Sam Jenkins Sterrett; two daughters, Mrs. W. A. Bearden of Boz. Mrs. Bruce Maxwell of Harrisburg, Ark.; one brother, John Hargrove of Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Gilliam of Tennessee; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.MOTHER
