The Deshler Rustler (Deshler, NE), Wednesday, January 9, 1924; pg. 1 Married In Kansas (Belleville Telescope) Bell - Knight Mr. Allen F. Bell and Miss Edith Knight, both of Hebron, were married by Judge VanNatta, on Wednesday, December 26th, at his office in the court house and will likely continue to make their home in Hebron. ====================== Allen Frank Bell, son of John Allen Bell and Augusta Mitlowski Bell, was born January 27, 1901 in Strang. He died on May 24, 1986 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron. He reached the age of 85 years. He attended school at Strang, Belvidere and Custer County. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hebron. On December 26, 1923, he was united in marriage to Maude Edith Knight in Belleville, Kan. To this union two sons and one daughter were born. Allen and Maude lived in Fairbury, Joplin, Missouri and Colorado, before settling in Hebron. He was a brick layer and mason by trade and a farmer. His last job was at the Korff lumberyard in Hebron, where he was a lumberman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. His wife, Maude died February 18, 1986. He is survived by two sons, Max and his wife, Lula of Deshler; Rex and his wife, Alice Bell of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Glee and her husband, Roger Warnke of Columbus; one brother, Elmer Bell of Broken Bow; two sisters, Helen Brown of Dallas, Tx., and Elizabeth Sullivan of McPherson; eleven grandchildren, Bruce Bell, Lonnie Bell, Douglas Bell, Gregory Bell, Melanie Hansen, Valerie Arocho, Tami Bell, Jonathan Bell, Sethe Warnke, Shawn Spitz, Sabrina Warnke. Three step-grandchildren, Patrick Cox, Terry Cox and Carolyn Cox and nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17, 1986 at 2 p.m. from the United Methodist Church in Hebron with Rev. William B. Anderson officiating. Casket bearers were: Bruce Bell, Lonnie Bell, Douglas Bell, Gregory Bell, Jonathan Bell and Seth Warnke. Soloist was Marsha Cline and Janet Fangmeyer, organist. Burial was in the Chester Cemetery at Chester. Adams-Tibbetts Funeral Home of Hebron was in charge of arrangements.
