Floyd was born on a farm near Elyria, NE, to Floyd (Sr) and Alma Wozniak. He was a graduate of Ord (Nebraska) High School, class of 1953. He was an active football player in school. He served in the US Army 1955-1957. Floyd and his wife Barb lived in Omaha, Nebraska. They had five children: Pamela (Mrs. Tom Scott, Denise, Cynthia, Gary , Neal (wife is Helen), and Kyle (wife is Jackie). He is survived by them all, plus grandchildren Jessica, Danielle, Christopher, Kimberly, Kyle Thomas, Neleah, Lucas and Grace. He is survived also by his sisters Rita Freeman and Patricia Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Katie. Floyd (called "Junior" in his younger years) taught business classes for many years at South High School in Omaha. He also worked part time as a sales clerk at J.C.Penney store in Omaha. Floyd suffered for many years from the complications of diabetes, including blindness and a leg amputation. At his request, his body was donated to Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, for research. His funeral service was held December 23 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Omaha.
