Bio
COPELAND - Saturday night, in Clay township, Catherine, wife of Madison Copeland. Catherine Hullinger was born Nov. 6th, 1821, in Champaign County, O. She was happily converted to Christ in her sixteenth year and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and was a faithful member of the same until death. She was united in marriage with Madison Copeland, April 4th, 1844, and departed this life Nov. 20th, 1880, her age being 59 years and 14 days. The deceased leaves a husband and eight children with many friends to mourn her death; yet they need not mourn as those who have no hope. To her pastor and friends, who at different times gathered around her bedside during her last illness, she gave that precious assurance that the Saviour, in who she had so long trusted, was with her and sustained her and gave to her victory over death.
