Bio

Joseph Peter Jisa, 93, Rt 3 Luxemburg, died Monday afternoon at the home of his son, George. He was born Feb 22, 1884 in Pilsen to the late Albert and Barbara Kadletz Jisa. Mr Jisa married the former Mary Hoida on Feb 6, 1917 at Pilsen and operated a farm in Pilsen all his life. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Chesner, Menomonee Falls, Wis; Mrs. Donald (Lillian) Challis, Green Bay; Mrs. William (Alice) Selner, Rt. 3 Luxemburg; Mrs. Orville (Emily) Heemtra, West Allis; one son, George, Rt. 2 Kewaunee; 31 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Matt (Philomena) Ledvina, Rock, Mich. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Agnes, one grandson, four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, after 3 p.m.Wednesday. Rosary 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St Joseph Church, Pilsen, with the Rev. John Johanek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Kewaunee Enterprise Kewaunee, WI Sep 22, 1977
