Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent August, 1996 BROKEN BOW - Tecla Helen Kosmicki, 87, of Broken Bow died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, at Sandhills Manor Nursing Home in Broken Bow. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Broken Bow. The Revs. Larry Coulter and Bob Rooney will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Oconto... Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Fund, the ARC of Custer County and to St. Joseph's Catholic Church Building Fund. Mrs. (sic) Kosmicki was born Jan. 11, 1909, at Ashton to Frank and Cecelia (Stenka) Kosmicki. She attended Catholic School at Ashton through the eighth grade. She then made her home with her sister, Sally and her family, remaining with her sister until her death. After moving to Broken Bow in 1961, she worked for several years at the Broken Bow Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Jospeh's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She devoted her life to helping care for her nieces and nephews. Survivors include one sister, Sally Graczyk of Sandhills Manor Nursing Home in Broken Bow; and a half-brother, Theophil Kosmicki.
