Services for Ida Mae Loden Hammond, 71, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with the Rev. Ron Brunson, pastor of Plainview New Covenant Church, officiating. The Rev. Jimmy Low, pastor of Muleshoe New Covenant Church, will assist. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell under direction of Lemons Funeral Home. She died Sunday, June 8, 1997, in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Canton. She married Frank D. Hammond on June 27, 1948, in Terrell. She graduated from Lufkin High School and attended East Texas Baptist and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She moved to Plainview in 1974. She worked in the outreach program with Plainview New Covenant Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Joyce Elaine Wilbanks of Plainview; a foster son, Alfred Lee Dunn of Houston; two brothers, Willard Loden Jr. of Needville and Tom Loden of Tyler; two sisters, Jo Anna Bentley of Longview and Patsy Hopkins of Jacksonville; and a grandson.
