Bio

Roman Roessler of Rose­bud, a farmer, died Sunday, April 2, 1995, in a Temple hospi­tal. He was 65. A rosary was recited Monday evening in Green ­Gerngross Funeral Home in Rosebud with Monsignor Sylvester Fuchs officiating. Services were held Tues­day in St. Anne's Catholic Church in Rosebud with the Rev. Thaddeus Tabak offi­ciating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West­phalia. Mr. Roessler was born August 21, 1929, in West­phalia to the late Ben and Bertha (Straten)Roessler. He lived in the Westphalia and Rosebud areas his entire life. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Rosebud. Survivors include his wife, Veronica Hering Roessler of Rosebud; two daughters, Brenda Purser of Houston and Barbara Smith of Lott; three sons, Gary Roessler of Troy, Larry Roessler of Temple and Dennis Roessler of Houston; seven sisters, Rosalie Green of Westpha­lia, Mary Ann Harris, Angeline Kovel and Eliza­beth Morris, all of Temple, Bernadette Bruggman of Cyclone, Lucille Buckholt of Arlington, and Madalene Lambert of Kyle; one brother, Marvin (Buddy) Roessler of Belton; and eight grand­children. Pallbearers were Ed Coufal, Kenneth Marek, Owen Smith, David Leiskar, Marcel Wunsch, and Roy Jean Schutze.
