Bio
Finis Kin Maness was born & raised in Paradise, Texas in Wise County. He is the son of Stephen Wesley & Margaret Tennesse (Kiser) Maness. He wed Myrtle Nina Casteel on August 28, 1910 in Wise County by Minister of the Gospel, Cleddie E. Wallace. To this union there was born 4 children: Finis Niner, Frances Kinnith, Opal Lavestal & Ruby Merlene Maness. Myrtle passed away on August 5, 1922 & is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas. After Myrtle's death he married Lela Marquettie (Twilligear) Grundy, whom had two young sons: James Hiram Grundy & Mattie Ellsworth Grundy. Finis Kin wed Lela Marquettie on December 4, 1923. To there union they had 2 sons, Wesley Samuel Maness & Harley K. "HK" Maness, Sr. Finis Kin had 8 siblings : James Edward "Edard",Irvin, Gilbert "Gib", Lizzie, Alex, Joseph Meeks, Dossie & Elmer Maness. All from Paradise, Texas.
