Nellie M. Tuscher Mass of Christian burial for Nellie M. (Didier) Tuscher, 86, Rapid City resident who died Friday morning in a local nursing home, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Rev. Gerald Scherer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish prayer service will be 7:30 Monday at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. A memorial has been established. She was born Oct. 26, 1895, in Horton, Kan, to Charles and Mary Spear. She grew up and attended school in Horton. As a young woman she moved, by covered wagon, to White River with her family. She married Nicholas J. Didier in 1917 at Norfolk, Neb. They lived at White River and moved to Rapid City in 1942. Her husband died in 1946, and she married Steve Tuscher Aug. 4, 1964, in Rapid City. He died in 1971. She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Rita. Surviving are three sons, John R. Didier of White River, Nick L. Didier of Rapid City and Bill Didier of Bayard, six daughters, Genevieve Strubel of Rogers, Mrs. Ed. (Katherine) Maki of Rapid City, Mrs. Marv (Lucille) Beach of Galena, Mrs. Vincent (Loretta) Schmaltz of Belle Fourche, Mrs. John (Delores) Sutton of San Antonio, Texas, and Leona Veilleux of Aurora, seven stepchildren, 44 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
