William Wilson Fitts, 89, Topeka passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. He was born June 16, 1915 in Smithville, Tenn. the son of Tandy Bouge and Altie Mae Trusty Fitts. Wilson graduated from East High School in Akron, OH in 1933. He attended Akron University. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 45 years. He retired as Division A superintendent. He was a member of Joppa Lodge in Akron, Topeka Scottish Rite Bodies and Arab Shrine Temple. He married Exie Evelyn Burton, Dec. 7, 1940 in Cleveland, OH; she passed away May 8, 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Lochmann and Sherry Hohman, both of Topeka; a brother, ArrDee Fitts, Newberry, S.C.; a sister, Ione Schrade, Akron, OH; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Wilson will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Wilson Fitts may be sent to Westminster Presbyterian Church 1275 SW Boswell Topeka, KS 66604 or Midland Hospice House 200 SW Frazier Cir.
