Sevan Taylor married Clara Frazar on September 14, 1929, and they were the parents of Donald Nevins Taylor. Sevan Taylor was the stepfather of Crystal Kay Jackson, Clyde David Kay, John Wesley Taylor, and Rothel Avery Taylor. ********************************************************************************** OBITUARY FROM THE LIBERTY VINDICATOR: Sevan Taylor Funeral Sunday Funeral services for Sevan Taylor, 64, of Batson, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Batson Prairie Baptist Church. Rev. Raymond Brothers and Rev. R. D. Sjolander officiated. Burial was in Guedry Cemetery under the direction of Allison Funeral Service. Taylor died at 1:10 p.m. Friday in the family residence after a long illness. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Daisetta. He had been employed by Sinclair Oil and Gas Company for the past 26 years. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Clara Taylor of Batson; three sons, Rothel and Donald Taylor, both of Hull and J. W. Taylor of Daisetta; a daughter, Mrs. C. P. Jackson of Houston; his father, Gilbert Taylor, Sr., of Daisetta; seven brothers, Roy and Leslie Taylor, both of Hull and Grady, Tommy, Morgan, Jessie and Nolan Taylor, all of Daisetta; nine sisters, Mrs. R. B. Kirkendall of Liberty, Mrs. E. B. Story, Mrs. H. A. Dagle, Mrs. M. Fregia, all of Hull, and Mrs. Eugene Speed, Mrs. J. L. Fregia, Mrs. Nadine Fregia and Mrs. Bill Berryhill all of Daisetta; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Hale Johnston, Jr., Steve Green, Doug Emanuel, Claude Ray, Jr., and Raymond Vanya.
